Visit to the Hills

Wow, what an experience. My partner Kate and I headed up to Healesville on Saturday to meet with some business owners affected by the terrible February 09 bushfires.

On the back of Rob Hartnett's recent visit as part of Kochie's Business Builders (airing Sunday 19th April at 11am on Ch 7), we met with business owners who are ready to take advantage of online mediums to begin, rebuild or extend their businesses.

I tell you what, we weren't prepared for the level of destruction around Marysville, but were so humbled and inspired by the true grit and commitment to get back in to things. I'd like to personally thank Tammy and Michael (Crumbs Gourmet Biscuits), Mitch, Deb and Rachael (Buxton Trout and Salmon Farm) and Lynne (Marysville Bakery) for your time over the weekend, and for providing an insight into what's really going on up there.

If I can pass one message on, it's that the hills are alive and they want us all back up there.

I look forward to getting back up to the hills with strategies for moving each business forward online.
